Member Spotlight: 12 Bar Digital

Every business has a story, but not every business owner speaks about theirs with the grounded honesty and practical insight that makes you instantly trust them. Meet the face behind 12 Bar Digital, one of our newest members navigating the world of digital foundations, family life, and small business tech.

From Bristol to Adelaide: The Journey So Far

Born in Bristol, raised in Sydney from the age of three, and an Adelaide local since 2019, life keeps things pretty lively outside of work. Between being a proud #GirlDad to a three-year-old and a ten-week-old, being married to a nurse, and keeping up with Jerry Seinfeld (a Kelpie cross who is a hilarious nutbag), there is rarely a dull moment.

Professionally, the path spans sales, IT and tech start-up support, and the past five and a half years as a learning designer at the University of Adelaide (now Adelaide University). Across every role, one common thread has driven the work: making technology actually make sense to the human being using it.

A Fresh Approach to Digital Foundations

12 Bar Digital officially began trading in mid-2026. Rather than pretending to be a long-established agency, the focus has been on delivering genuine value from day one, earning its initial client base entirely through word-of-mouth recommendations.

The mission is simple: helping small businesses establish a solid online foundation.

Rather than overwhelming owners with complex tech jargon or bloated agency packages, 12 Bar Digital creates reliable website foundations that businesses can confidently point both new and existing customers toward.

"What I enjoy most is sitting down with someone and finding the one small tweak with technology they didn't know was possible, the kind that quietly takes a job off their plate every week."

Balancing the Hustle & Keeping It Real

Building a business while maintaining a full-time job and raising a young family is no small task. The biggest reward? Getting to understand how local owners actually run their businesses and delivering solutions that genuinely help. The biggest challenge? Time management.

Operating within limited hours creates a healthy discipline, forcing a focus on what actually works and eliminating unnecessary noise.

When asked about current trends, the focus remains on timeless principles: while social media, AI expectations, and economic pressures continue to evolve, people still buy from people they trust. And for anyone looking to launch their own venture: find someone who really knows marketing and get them to review your whole approach, not just your logo or your website. An outside professional can tell you whether what you are putting out actually reflects the value you offer, and that is very hard to judge from the inside.

Exclusive NWBA Member Offer
