Yitpi Yartapuultiku: A Vision for 2025 Taking Shape

At the North West Business Alliance (NWBA), we are thrilled to witness the progress of Yitpi Yartapuultiku—an innovative community project set to open in early 2025. This initiative exemplifies the power of collaboration, bringing together local businesses, educational institutions, and volunteers to create a vibrant space for learning, growth, and connection.
Progress Highlights: Building for the Future
October marked significant milestones for Yitpi Yartapuultiku, with the project steadily advancing across various aspects, including:
12-Station Training Kitchen: Hood and ductwork installation is now complete, ensuring a functional and efficient space for future culinary training.
Construction and Landscaping:
Surplus soil spreading, planting, and first-fix services are well underway.
Internal linings, aluminium, and glazing installations are progressing across the buildings.
Cladding and ceilings are near completion throughout the facilities.
Kerbing and base preparations for the Southern (Elders’) Carpark are in full swing.Outdoor Spaces:
Landscaping efforts continue, with Outside Ideas shaping play spaces, rock seating, and log areas while adjusting ground levels to create uniquely landscaped zones.
Both temporary and permanent irrigation systems are being installed to support new plantings.
Community Collaboration in Action
Yitpi Yartapuultiku isn’t just about building physical spaces—it’s about fostering community engagement. October saw inspiring partnerships and volunteer efforts:
Living Shoreline Restoration: Volunteers from Friends of Port River, in collaboration with PAE and the University of Adelaide, collected over 120 mangrove seedlings from Mutton Cove. These seedlings have found a new home in the living shoreline, with assistance from students at Clontarf Academy.
Educational Tours: Sarah Constructions hosted students from Tauondi College, offering them a guided tour of the project site as part of their commitment to community involvement and education.
Looking Ahead
As we move closer to Yitpi Yartapuultiku's grand opening in early 2025, NWBA is proud to promote initiatives like this that enhance the North West region's infrastructure and community spirit. This project is a testament to the collective effort of businesses, educational institutions, and individuals working toward a shared vision of progress.

Together, we are building a legacy of opportunity, learning, and connection in the North West region.
